Ask Us Anything – Lorenzo Polvani
Lorenzo Polvani is the Maurice Ewing and J. Lamar Worzel Professor of Geophysics in the Department of Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics at Columbia Engineering. He is particularly interested in quantifying and distinguishing the effects of anthropogenic forcings from natural climate variability.
This series showcases our faculty on lab life and the big picture implications beyond. Whether building predictive climate models, thin-film electronics, or sustainable concrete, our engineers are not only making an impact in their fields — they are changing the world at large.
