Edward Ko

Edward Ko is a sophomore majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Earth and Environmental Engineering. His current research interests lie in the fields of robotics design and waste water treatment.

Edward Ko

During the spring of his first year, Edward worked in the electrochemical engineering lab where he studied the iron oxidizing chemolithoautotroph for biochemical/fuel production. During the summer, Edward interned at University College London where he synthesized and characterized non carbon supports for Polymer Electrolyte Fuel Cells.

Apart from academics, Edward is actively involved with Columbia’s Scientists and Engineers for a Better Society and CUSP alliance. In his spare time, Edward loves playing sports, practicing ukulele, attending movie screenings, and cooking.
